Australian Open Women's Final

Serena Williams won the 2009 Australian Open, and came into the 2010 tournament as the #1 seed in the women's bracket. Justine Henin came into the tournament as a wild card, setting out as an unranked player this year. This is only her second tournament back from an early retirement, but her play on the court recently has reminded everyone that this is a season professional. Justine Henin was the #1 women's tennis player in the world for a good reason, and it meant that Serena Williams was going to find a challenge on the other side of the net on Saturday. Both women played very strong, but Henin kept having problems getting her first serve in, leading to a disadvantage on a slower second serve to Williams.

The 2010 Australian Open Women's Final took three sets to decide, with Serena Williams winning the first set 6 games to 4, and Justine Henin winning the second set 6 games to 3. That left the third set to decide who would be going home with their latest Grand Slam title, and the match turned out to be exactly like many fans had hoped: extremely competitive. As the third set progressed though, Serena Williams started hitting the shots when she needed to, and Justine Henin just seemed like she was having a hard time keeping up. In the end, Serena Williams won the 2010 Australian Open Women's Championship.
