The study started and women who are post menopausal took tai chi course for 12 weeks. In the 12 weeks course there were three sessions per week. In the study they found that the muscles of the women increase eight per cent in the legs and seventeen percent balance improvement. Means tai chi increase and improve the muscles of the post menopausal women.

According to Mylene Aubertin Leheudre many women stop exercising during menopause. While talking she said that many post menopausal Canadian women are sedentary and their amount is about 55 per cent.
Mylene Aubertin Leheudre wanted to test the exercise that was soft, but with enough effect on the health on women and as a result she found that tai chi is a good and fit for the health. Tai chi is known as a low impact exercise and practitioners called it as moving mediation it is a form of martial arts which is called kung fu. Tai chi is used for the defense and it is also done with sticks and swords.
